From North Rhine-Westphalia, the Swedish open banking platform wants to conquer the German-speaking “DACH” region.

Improve the banking industry: Tink was founded in 2012 with this goal in mind, and today the Stockholm-based fintech is active in 14 European markets – and expansion is ongoing. To intensify its activities in the DACH region, the company has opened a new office in Düsseldorf. The DACH headquarters is headed by Cyrosch Kalateh, who was previously part of the management team at auxmoney as Vice President Partnerships.

With its open banking platform, Tink primarily targets banks, developers and startups. Customers can use the platform to access aggregated financial data, initiate payments and develop personal financial management tools based on the data. Currently, Tink works with 8,000 developers as well as 3,400 banks and reaches more than 250 million banking customers across Europe. According to its own statements, the fintech wants to pave the way for the next generation of banking with its digital services.
