Results in just one hour: The North Rhine-Westphalian company Qiagen is currently making headlines with its Corona rapid test kit. Thanks to a special approval, the test kit is now coming onto the market much earlier than planned. According to the company, the product is not intended to replace current test procedures, but is an additional solution to facilitate faster decisions in emergency rooms, for example.

Qiagen is currently producing 1.5 million kits per month, and production is expected to increase to 20 million per month by the end of the year. For this reason, the Hilden-based company is now looking for more production staff.
