Due to the company’s success in recent financial years, the German Kerrygold headquarters has plans for growth.

The German Kerrygold subsidiary Ornua has already been located in the Wesel district for 13 years. Business is going well and Germany is the Irish company's highest-grossing market. Now the company wants to further expand its presence in North Rhine-Westphalia at its Neukirchen-Vluyn site.  As the existing location does not offer sufficient space, Ornua has its sights set on a plot of land opposite the plant.

In addition to butter, which is sold from Neukirchen-Vluyn in Germany and Eastern Europe, the Kerrygold portfolio also includes cheese and yoghurt. With the distribution of around 71,000 tons of butter, cheese and yoghurt of the Kerrygold brand in 2019, Ornua is one of the largest butter marketers in Germany. Further products are to be launched on the market in the future.
