After three successful years at the Kapellen site, the Syrian food retailer is entering the online business.
After fleeing Syria, Abdulrazak Kattan started his company with six employees in Grevenbroich, North Rhine-Westphalia. Today, Nosor Baladna is one of the largest manufacturers and retailers of Arabic food, with a range of over 200 products that are delivered to more than 32 countries. In order to reach even more customers in addition to the brick-and-mortar trade, the company has now entered the online business.
Located right next to the European headquarters in the Kapellen district of Grevenbroich is a fulfillment center where goods are packed for shipping. Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke, District Administrator of the Rhine district of Neuss, is pleased with developments: "We are located in the middle of Europe and are therefore an interesting location for e-commerce. From here, the distances to important ports such as Neuss, to Düsseldorf Airport or to other sales markets are short."
Not only the current strong demand in the online food trade will favor the further success of Nosor Baladna. According to the company, current food trends also play a role: 70 percent of the products are vegan and therefore fully satisfy the demands of certain target groups.
