The Turkish healthcare company is expanding its subsidiary Harzberg Fiber.

The company with which the Turkish healthcare expert Baymed is active in North Rhine-Westphalia is called Harzberg Fiber. However, Harzberg's business model is not in the medical field, but in recycling. To this end, the Erkrath-based subsidiary has now acquired a commercial property in Bad Lippspringe in addition to a machine park.

In future, PET bottles and other PET materials will be recycled at the new production site. The plastic obtained, also known as recyclate, forms the basic material for new plastic products. Baymed intends to market the recycled plastic internationally, and in Turkey in particular.

16.75 million euros are to be invested in the expansion of Harzberg Fiber. By the end of 2021, the expansion should have created around 200 new jobs.
