This communication platform is unique worldwide: NRW.Global.Connect now connects economic players in North Rhine-Westphalia with innovative startup hotspots around the world. Minister President Hendrik Wüst: "North Rhine-Westphalia is one of the economically strongest regions in Europe. This means we have great appeal for young startups from abroad. With NRW.Global.Connect, we are raising networking opportunities to an unprecedented level and aim to expand our leading position as an attractive international business location." The network's first partner country is Israel, with its vibrant and automotive-savvy startup scene.
The business platform NRW.Global.Connect was created as a joint project of the State Chancellery and the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy with the cooperation of the German-Israeli Chamber of Industry and Commerce and NRW.Global Business. Since the launch, more than 5,000 startups from Israel have already registered on NRW.Global.Connect, where they will meet around 700 established companies from North Rhine-Westphalia with the aim of implementing joint projects.
The offer is free of charge for companies from NRW. With just a few mouse clicks, interested companies can register on the platform and look for new business partners. For startups, registration also costs nothing. Research institutions, business development agencies, investors and other economic players in North Rhine-Westphalia can also register with NRW.Global.Connect free of charge. Research institutions from Germany and abroad also have the opportunity to find project and application partners for innovative research ideas, patents and other transfer offers.
