Takasago, one of the world's leading manufacturers of flavors and fragrances, plans to significantly expand its production site in Zülpich, North Rhine-Westphalia. To this end, Takasago Europe GmbH (TEG) is investing 15 million euros in the construction of a new 2,335 square meter building.

TEG, a subsidiary of Takasago International Corporation based in Ōta, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan, has been rooted in NRW since 1992. With approximately 4,000 employees worldwide, the group operates 25 plants for the production of fragrances for the cosmetics and food industries.

The expansion of the Zülpich site strengthens and underlines Takasago's long-term commitment to NRW. In recent years, the company has grown from just 15 employees to around 450. The demands on logistics have increased accordingly. The new building will increase production capacity and provide additional office, warehouse and laboratory space.

Completion is scheduled for early 2024.
