Around 150 new jobs on approx. 4,400 square meters of commercial space: The subsidiary DAIKIN Airconditioning Germany GmbH of the Japanese manufacturer of heat pumps, ventilation and air-conditioning systems will open a new site in Bochum at the end of 2024. The company has secured a third of the total 13,500 square meters of office and multifunctional space currently under construction on the future Campus Trium at Bochum's Jahrhunderthalle. This means that the first tenant has been secured well ahead of the planned completion of the construction project in 2024. The Group leased the commercial space shortly after construction began at the beginning of this year: a clear commitment to the location in North Rhine-Westphalia.

On the one hand, the new branch will house part of the company's administration. In addition, teaching and training rooms will be provided for education purposes. The building services in the Trium will be equipped with Daikin heat pumps. This will enable the company to train participants from all over Germany in Bochum in the future on systems that are also in operation on site.

This is also necessary in light of the company's strong growth, as authorized signatory Rainer Feichtmeier emphasizes. "Against the background of the energy turnaround, there is a very high demand for training and further education in the industry. At Trium, a prototype is being created for precisely this purpose".
