The wholesale company CHEFS CULINAR, based in Kiel, recently began construction of a new branch in Büren-Ahden in the district of Paderborn. NRW.Global Business supported the move. A state-of-the-art logistics and production center with ideal transport connections is being built in the industrial park at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport. It is scheduled to be fully operational in 2028. With an area of around 43,000 square meters, it will be one of the company's largest sites.
The initial plan is for a partially automated, full-range warehouse with more than 20,000 items ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables to frozen and dairy products, dry goods, and hygiene products. Büren will supply customers in Münsterland, East Westphalia, Sauerland, and North Hesse. This location will also serve as a central warehouse for high-convenience products and restaurant and commercial kitchen accessories. In the first phase alone, the establishment will create around 200 sales, logistics, and administrative jobs in NRW.
A second expansion phase will include a production facility for high-convenience meals. This expansion will meet the increasing demand for practical yet high-quality product solutions in the hospitality industry.
