The British commercial real estate group is expanding its logistics park in the south of Krefeld.

The "SEGRO Logistics Park Krefeld-Süd" is to be enlarged by three units with a total area of 33,000 square meters. Construction work has already started and the new space is scheduled to be ready for occupation in September 2021. By doing so, SEGRO, the British owner, manager and developer of logistics and commercial real estate, is responding to the increasing demand for logistics space in Krefeld.

After the expansion, the logistics park will cover around 290,000 square meters. According to the company, the location in particular is a decisive advantage of the property: "Our location is characterized here by the excellent connections to the freeways A 44, A 57 and A 52, which, for example, make it possible to reach the trade fair center and Düsseldorf Airport quickly," explains Melanie Merholz, Manager Development Logistics at SEGRO.

SEGRO is a British real estate investment trust (REIT) listed on the London Stock Exchange in the FTSE 100 index. The portfolio comprises 8.1 million square meters of space in locations in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
