It is to be a kind of real laboratory: Near Düsseldorf Airport, EUREF AG from Berlin is planning a 40,000 square-meter Innovation Campus where established companies, startups and scientific institutions will meet – a place for ideas and developments on the subject of "future mobility".
As an anchor tenant of this major project, Schneider Electric intends to move its headquarters from Ratingen to Düsseldorf and move onto the campus with around 750 employees. Mayor Thomas Geisel welcomes the development: "With this new settlement, we are setting standards for emission-free mobility concepts, climate friendliness and an innovative spirit. The campus with the pioneer Schneider Electric as an anchor tenant will become an ecosystem for new ideas for mobility with 2,500 state-of-the-art jobs – just the right thing for the dynamic and attractive location of Düsseldorf."
Schneider Electric plans to work closely with universities and startups at the new location and wants to attract new talent, as Daniel Rook, Chief Human Resources Officer for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Schneider Electric, explains: "We are convinced that the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf will be a highly inspiring environment in which companies and scientists, supported by politicians, can innovatively prepare and shape the future for tomorrow's talents.
