The Indian technology group Zoho has opened its German headquarters in Essen. From now on, the company will manage its operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from a 400-square-meter office space. This new location replaces the shared office Zoho had used in the city since 2021. The company plans to have up to 60 workstations by 2030.

With over 18,000 employees and more than 120 million users, Zoho is one of the world's largest software providers. Since its founding in 1996, the Chennai-based company has offered more than 55 applications for operational processes in sales, accounting, human resources, customer service and collaboration. Its software is designed for both medium-sized companies and large corporations. Zoho's focus is on modular, cloud-based solutions that can be flexibly integrated into existing IT infrastructures.

Zoho's decision to locate in NRW underscores the region's potential for international tech companies. The company cites the central location in the German-speaking region, the high concentration of businesses and the proximity to numerous universities as key factors in choosing the location in NRW.
