Innovative power for North Rhine-Westphalia: ThoughtSpot, the leading US provider of search and AI-supported analyses, is setting up its DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) headquarters in Duisburg. Most recently, the Silicon Valley-based company raised $248 million in e-series financing and doubled its valuation to $1.95 billion.

ThoughtSpot is moving into office space in the Accelerator Startport in Duisburg's Inner Harbor. The digital company received assistance from NRW.INVEST in selecting a suitable location and networking with relevant players from the region. "We are delighted that, thanks to the active support of NRW.INVEST, we are able to move into attractive office space at the Accelerator Startport in Europe's largest inland port and at the same time benefit from the experience we have gained from working with other Startport companies," reports Christian Werling, Regional Director for ThoughtSpot Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The growth potential of NRW and its central location are only two of the reasons why ThoughtSpot decided in favor of the startup and digital location. "As a dynamic business location, North Rhine-Westphalia is perfect for our growth course in the DACH region, as it is not only the largest industrial region in Europe, but also provides well-trained specialists with its broad-based university landscape and is ideally linked to two international airports," says Werling. With its new presence in NRW, the US startup will create 80 new jobs for the region.
