With more than 600 Japanese companies based here, North Rhine-Westphalia is the strongest Japanese location in Germany and continental Europe. It is therefore not surprising that NRW is once again hosting the Japan Business Day in Düsseldorf this year, in addition to the international Japan Day.

At Hotel Kö59 on May 22 from 1.30 to 7.00 pm, company representatives and experts from Japan and Germany will discuss the topic of sustainability and its importance as an economic factor. The focus will be on the circular economy, which makes it possible to curb the use of non-renewable raw materials and conserve resources.

Both the Japanese and the North Rhine-Westphalian business location have often proven that traditional industry and innovative capacity can be combined excellently. The goal of the exchange at the Japan Business Day is to highlight synergies and open up opportunities for cooperation.

The Business Day has been held since 2002 in cooperation with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the state capital Düsseldorf, the Japanese community in Düsseldorf, the Japanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the association Japan-Day Düsseldorf/NRW and NRW.Global Business. Together with the partners – the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Japan External Trade Organization and the German-Japanese Business Circle – the Business Day is organized for the exchange of information on current German-Japanese business topics.
