Infosys, a leading IT service and consulting company based in Bangalore, India, today opened a digital innovation center in Düsseldorf in the presence of NRW Economics and Digital Affairs Minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart. As part of its European expansion program, the Group is relying on North Rhine-Westphalia as a digital location to support its customers in their digital transformation and with topics such as IoT, 5G, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Infosys plans to employ up to 300 people in Düsseldorf.
With the Digital Innovation Centre, the Group is also building a bridge between business and North Rhine-Westphalian educational institutions. Infosys entered into partnership agreements with Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management to organize joint training courses, research projects and scholarships to promote young digital talent. The state-owned economic development agency NRW.INVEST and the Office of Economic Development of the state capital Düsseldorf supported the company in its settlement and contact with the universities.

For Infosys, Düsseldorf is the second location of a Digital Innovation Centre in Europe after Bucharest.
