In order to further expand its presence in the DACH (German-speaking) and Benelux regions, OnRobot is opening its first German branch in Soest, North Rhine-Westphalia. The robotics company from Denmark came into existence only a year ago from the merger of several start-ups and has been growing steadily ever since.

OnRobot's portfolio includes robotic arms with state-of-the-art gripping and sensing systems that enable collaborative working between man and machine. The young company focuses on easy implementation and diverse fields of application – from surface treatment to palletizing. "Our collaborative end-of-arm tools give companies the flexibility they need to produce cost-effectively even in times of batch size 1," explains Björn Milsch, General Manager DACH & Benelux at OnRobot. As the fifth-largest robot market worldwide and number one in Europe, Germany is an important sales market for OnRobot. Nine people will be employed at the Soest site by the end of the year. "With our new office and a larger team, we are now much closer to our customers and partners in German-speaking countries," says Milsch. Soest and the surrounding area are home to many international industrial companies, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises – relevant target groups for the robotics company.
