The Dutch dairy group FrieslandCampina from Amersfoort near Utrecht, whose brands include Tuffi, Landliebe and Frico, has officially opened its new German headquarters in Flingern. Up to 150 employees are to work there in the future on around 2,800 square meters of office space in marketing, sales, finance and human resources.

The move to Düsseldorf from the previous central location in Heilbronn, where a production plant will remain in place, was an important strategic decision, according to Germany boss Jan Kruise: The company wants to become more competitive and strengthen its brands. Qualified specialists are a prerequisite for this. "There are many good people in the region who have FMCG experience," says Kruise. The abbreviation FMCG stands for fast-moving consumer goods, i.e. goods for daily requirements such as food.

More plus points: All 800 German co-owners of the cooperative company come from NRW. In addition, Düsseldorf impresses with its excellent infrastructure and location, i.e. its proximity to the FrieslandCampina headquarters in Amersfoort and to the Innovation Center in Wageningen.
