The North American technology and production company LORD is investing 14 million euros in its existing production facility.

In order to provide optimal support for the rapidly growing electric vehicle market, especially in Germany and throughout Europe, the internationally active LORD Corporation, headquartered in Cary in North Carolina, USA, is expanding its plant in Hückelhoven, North Rhine-Westphalia. An investment of 14 million euros is planned. The expansion will give the technology and production company greater proximity to customers. The company can respond more quickly to their needs, increase efficiency and reduce final costs.

There are currently 70 employees working at the LORD plant in Hückelhoven, which has been in operation since 1987. The expansion is expected to add more than 20 jobs. The focus is on the development of innovative thermal management and structural adhesive solutions. On 14 March, the ground-breaking ceremony and the laying of the foundation stone were celebrated. The new adjoining building, which will add 3,200 square meters of production and office space to the existing plant in Hückelhoven, is to be completed and put into operation by mid-2020.

LORD is the global leader in thermal management for electric vehicles and has been manufacturing adhesives for the automotive industry for nearly 50 years.
