The machine tool manufacturer Okuma provides customized automation solutions.

One year after the start of construction, the Japanese company Okuma is opening a new Engineering Centre in Krefeld. The company supplies individual all-in-one solutions for CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machine tools, including software and controls. The new center will make this possible in a highly efficient manner, without long waiting times: "In the future, the Engineering Centre will enable us to respond even better and faster to special requests and to offer complete solutions for the manufacturing tasks of customers throughout Europe," explains Norbert Teeuwen, Managing Director of Okuma Europe.

The 1,200 square meter Engineering Centre has assembly stations for up to 20 machines. The aim is to equip standard Okuma machines with local accessories and automation solutions according to customer requirements. An independent dealer network provides unlimited access to spare parts and service offerings.
