Infosys plans to employ up to 300 people in its new Digital Innovation Centre. After Bucharest, it is the second location of this kind for the consulting company from Bangalore – a development welcomed by NRW Economics and Digital Affairs Minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart: "We are delighted that Infosys has decided to set up its German business in Düsseldorf. The state government supports the digital transformation of the economy and wants to be a driving force for business start-ups and innovations in Germany." As a pioneer for digital transformation, Infosys supports its customers in areas such as IoT, 5G, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Infosys is already active in 20 countries across Europe and is specifically committed to training qualified workers. The IT group also cooperates with universities in North Rhine-Westphalia to find and promote these tech talents. Joint training courses, research projects and scholarships are planned to promote young digital talent. "Düsseldorf is a pioneer in technical innovations. Our company benefits here from the availability of qualified specialists, high productivity and optimal social, legal and regulatory conditions," says Pravin Rao, Chief Operating Officer of Infosys. The IT company was supported by NRW.INVEST and the economic development office of the state capital of Düsseldorf in its contacts with the universities and its settlement at the new location.
