The Chinese technology company is conquering the European market from North Rhine-Westphalia.
Long queues in Düsseldorf's old town: Xiaomi, one of the world's leading smartphone manufacturers, has opened its first store in Germany, even attracting visitors from neighboring countries. The Chinese technology company has only recently entered the German market. With its first Mi-Store, the company is now advancing its expansion plans in earnest.

"In Germany alone, we currently offer around 120 products, and many more will follow. This retail structure and the number of products available demonstrate our commitment to offering innovations at the best prices for everyone in Germany," explains Alan Chen Li, Country Manager Germany at Xiaomi. In addition to smartphones and fitness wristbands, the company offers a range of other smart products such as suction robots, electric toothbrushes and e-scooters.

In addition to Xiaomi, four other Chinese smartphone manufacturers are already represented in Düsseldorf: Oppo, Huawei, VIVO and ZTE. The companies are among the six mobile phone manufacturers with the largest market shares worldwide. In North Rhine-Westphalia, investors benefit from a market with strong purchasing power, a dynamic ICT sector and the leading mobile phone operators and network equipment providers. The new mobile phone standard 5G in particular offers enormous sales opportunities.
