The Finnish intralogistics expert is opening a new site in Willich as part of its growth strategy.

How does fresh food get from the producer to the customer as quickly and safely as possible? To meet this challenge, the food industry is increasingly turning to automation solutions. Cimcorp from Finland, one of the largest suppliers in this field, is now strengthening its presence on the German market and opening a new site in the Viersen district.

The service center will provide local, German-speaking support for the growing customer base. According to Tero Peltomäki, CEO of Cimcorp Group, the location near Düsseldorf offers many advantages: "About a quarter of food distribution in Europe comes from this area, so we are right in the middle of our current and potential customer base. The location is perfect to serve our German and Central European customers." According to the company, the potential for the automation business is huge, with around 60 million people living within a 200 km radius of Willich.

The Cimcorp Group is by its own account one of the world's leading suppliers of turnkey automation solutions for intralogistics. In addition to the food industry, the company also develops logistics concepts for retail and online trade, fast-moving consumer goods and postal service providers.
