Hylium Industries' entry into the European market is beginning in NRW. The South Korean hydrogen company has opened an office at the Gas and Heat Institute (GWI) in Essen and plans to expand its business activities in Europe from there. The office will serve as a contact point for business development, customer service, and technical support.
The company is planning a demonstration plant for hydrogen liquefaction on the GWI site. It also intends to use hydrogen-powered drones there for testing purposes.
"We have already collaborated with several leading European companies, and now is the right time to strengthen our presence in the market with a dedicated branch in Germany," said Seo Young Kim, CEO of Hylium Industries. The Essen office will contribute to the European hydrogen ecosystem and support regional projects.
Hylium develops technologies for storing, transporting, and refueling liquid hydrogen for use in the mobility, aerospace, and industrial sectors. The company's portfolio includes compact liquefaction solutions, cryogenic storage tanks for storing gases at very low temperatures, transportation systems, and mobile hydrogen refueling stations.
